Therapist Profile - Elizabeth Talbot

Elizabeth Talbot is a Registered Psychologist. She holds a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) from Macquarie University and a Master of Psychology (Clinical Psychology) from Western Sydney University.

Her treatment and research experience includes working for well known organisations including Black Dog Institute and Lifeline Australia, as well as for PsychMatters Concord and Westmead Hospital.

Elizabeth works primarily from a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) framework, but also utilises elements of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Schema Therapy and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), depending on what best suits the client’s goals and needs. In working with couples, Elizabeth uses a combination of CBT, Family Systems and Emotionally Focussed therapeutic approaches to help her clients repair and enhance their relationships.

Elizabeth helps clients with issues ranging from anxiety and relationship problems, to trauma and addiction using the latest evidence-based therapies. She has achieved success treating a range of disorders including anxiety and panic, stress and worry, adjustment problems, depression, bi polar disorder, post traumatic stress, personality disorders, addiction and relationship issues.

Elizabeth helps adults, adolescents and children practically address and work through their challenges in a highly supportive environment.
