Therapist Profile - Uri Auerbach

Uri is a Registered Counsellor and Psychotherapist with the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA). He holds a Masters of Psychotherapy and Counselling from University of Western Sydney. 

Before moving into private practice, Uri worked in several institutional settings including as Primary Therapist at South Pacific Private Hospital, where he gained extensive experience working with many presentations including trauma, anxiety, depression and substance abuse.

Additionally, Uri is experienced with a variety of other presenting concerns including mood disorders, low self esteem, isolation, substance abuse, relationship/intimacy issues and PTSD.

Uri’s approach is primarily person-centred, attachment-focussed and trauma-informed. He always maintains a holistic and non-pathologising point of view when working with his clients. Uri works with his clients to overcome self-defeating patterns, discover values and purpose, and move towards satisfying and meaningful relationships.

Uri places immense value in establishing a genuine therapeutic relationship which in time supports the development of insight and healing that can transform even the deepest despair into real peace, self acceptance and contentment.
